Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Establish and lead an integrated project controls function across the EPC/construction portfolio, covering end-to-end planning, cost management, progress tracking, risk and change control, forecasting, and executive-level (CEO) performance reporting to ensure accurate, timely, and decision-ready project insights.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and govern the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) across all projects, including critical path analysis, look‑ahead planning, and validation of recovery and acceleration plans.
- Lead enterprise‑wide cost control, including budget management, commitments, cash‑flow forecasting, cost‑to‑complete, and earned value management (EVM).
- Define and enforce standardised progress measurement systems across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
- Develop and maintain portfolio‑level dashboards, KPIs, and performance reports, ensuring data integrity, reporting discipline, and executive readiness.
- Prepare CEO and Board review packs, translating complex project data into clear insights, risks, trends, and decision recommendations.
- Own and govern risk registers, issue logs, change control, and trend management, ensuring early identification and mitigation of project risks.
- Interface closely with Commercial and Contracts teams on early‑warning notices, claims evaluation, and substantiation or defence of contractual positions.
- Provide independent challenge to project teams and contractors by scrutinising progress claims, forecasts, recovery plans, and cost assumptions.
- Establish and uphold project controls standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks across Dangote Construction.
- Build and lead project controls capability, ensuring consistency, discipline, and performance excellence across the project portfolio.
