Description:
- Plan resources for agile teams defining responsibilities and scope of work for each team member.
- Conduct a post implementation review and documentation and follow up on outstanding items.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Scrum Masters, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional development.
- Conduct regular performance assessments, provide feedback, and identify growth and training opportunities for team members.
- Facilitate agile skill development, encouraging Scrum Masters to pursue certifications, advanced training, and stay current on industry best practices.
- Oversee the activities of Scrum Masters, ensuring alignment with agile best practices, effective facilitation of ceremonies, and resolution of impediments.
- Provide guidance on complex agile challenges, such as cross-team dependencies, scope management, and stakeholder engagement, enabling Scrum Masters to address these effectively.
- Promote the effective use of agile tools and metrics to track progress, improve processes, and optimize team performance.
- Lead initiatives to assess and improve agile maturity across teams, using data and feedback to enhance agile processes continuously.
- Implement agile metrics and KPIs to measure productivity, efficiency, and team satisfaction, driving insights that support agile transformation efforts.
- Facilitate regular retrospectives, cross-team workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
- Establish frameworks for agile risk management, proactively identifying and mitigating risks that could impact project timelines or quality.
- Promote adherence to agile quality standards, ensuring deliverables meet high-quality benchmarks and user expectations.
- Encourage Scrum Masters to implement feedback loops and retrospectives to identify improvements and mitigate risks early in development.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and key stakeholders to ensure teams are delivering high-value products that meet customer and business needs.
- Ensure sprint goals are consistently met by driving best practices in planning, execution, and prioritization.
- Identify and resolve delivery risks proactively, fostering a culture of accountability and results-driven performance.
Education:
- First degree in any related discipline – in Science, Engineering or Art & Business-related degrees
- Certifications in Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Agile Coach, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner, Certified scrum practitioner, PMI etc will be an added advantage
- Fluent in English
Experience:
6-13 years’ experience which includes:
- 6+ years of experience in project management, with a minimum of 4 years in an agile role (e.g., Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Delivery Manager).
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and experience with agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering multiple, high-impact agile projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a medium to large organization.
- Proven track record in leading agile transformation initiatives and improving team performance through agile practices.
- Experience working in scrum teams
- Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, with a focus on continuous delivery and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Experience in change management and driving agile adoption across multiple teams or departments.
- Collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and management teams in an Agile development environment
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges, promoting solutions that support team success.
- Ability to align agile practices with business goals and drive organizational change
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to use agile metrics to drive data-informed decisions and improvements
- Familiarity with traditional project management methodologies such as [Waterfall]
